Progress Bank & Trust Breaks Ground for Florence Office

Progress-Bank (1 of 16) (Copy) Florence, Alabama – Progress Band and Trust Senior Officers and Directors held a ground breaking ceremony recently for their new Florence Branch Office.  Also in attendance was Mayor Mickey Haddock, Florence City Council members, Shoals Chamber of Commerce President Steve Holt, Chamber Ambassadors and many local business persons.

The new branch office will be located at 260 Tennessee Street in historic downtown Florence on the site of the former Western Sizzler Restaurant building.  Plans call for the building to be constructed in a style that will compliment and blend in with the architecture of the surrounding structures. Carbine Construction will be the General Contractor on the project.

Leading the Progress Bank team in Florence is Andy Mann who is an experienced commercial lender and manager with over 17 years in the banking industry.  Mr. Mann has held senior management positions at both community and regional banks and recently stated that “Progress Bank is committed to serving the Shoals area with all its resources and giving their clients the financial products and services needed meet their financial goals.”

Progress Bank has over 348 million dollars in assets, with offices in Huntsville, Decatur, Madison, Jones Valley and now Florence.  The Bank offers loan and deposit services, mortgage banking and investment services for consumers and businesses in Madison, Morgan, Lauderdale, Colbert and surrounding counties.

Progress Bank is an Alabama State Chartered Commercial Bank (Member FDIC) and was founded in February 2008.  It is locally owned and managed with headquarters in Huntsville.
