Preston Eugene Hatton – Obituary

Preston Eugene Hatton, age 84 of Leighton, died Tuesday, September 25, 2012. His family will receive friends Monday, October 1, 6-8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia. His funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 8 p.m. with Ronald and Andy Gasque officiating.

Mr. Preston was a Colbert County native and a member of LaGrange Missionary Baptist Church. He was a welder; retired after thirty years with Continental Steel Mill of Kokomo, IN. He was a mason and a member of Russiaville Lodge 82-F& A.M. in Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben P. and Mattie Hatton, four brothers and six sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Jetta Hatton of Leighton; sons Bob Hatmaker, H C Hatmaker and wife, Judy, all of Leighton, Bill Hatton and wife, Joyce of Oregon; his daughter, Connie Rife and husband, Sam of Indiana; brother, Curtis Hatton of Tuscumbia; sister, Cathleen Aycock of Muscle Shoals, eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers are Thomas Hatmaker, Greg Hatmaker, Chris Bates, Joey Bates, Ralph Sharpe, Darell Hatton, Farell Hatton, Bill Hatton and Darren Spillet.
