Police Arrest Tyler, TX Man On Kidnapping And Sex Trafficking Charges; Florence Teen Returned Home Safe

TYLER, TX/FLORENCE-Tyler, TX Police Department rescued a 13-year-old Florence girl from a home in the 3600 block of Woods Blvd. in Tyler on Saturday, April 17 after receiving information from the FBI that a kidnapping victim could be at the residence.

After talking with Daniel Dylan Skipworth, 19 of the Woods address the Tyler Police Discovered evidence that the girl could be at the residence.  According to Andy Erbaugh, Tyler police public information officer, Skipworth was detained until a search warrant could be obtained.  Police discovered the girl at the residence after searching the home.

Skipworth was arrested and taken to the Smith county Jail on a $560,000 and has been charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child, trafficking of a child – engage in sexual conduct and resisting arrest.

Skipworth drove to Alabama to take the girl, and evidence shows she was at Skipworth’s residence for at least a couple of days, Erbaugh said.

The girl has been returned home and Tyler Police say she is physically unharmed.  Her mother drove from Florence and picked her up.

Florence Police say more information will be forthcoming and that an extradition of Skipworth is possible.
