brainWhen artists are playing music together, their brainwaves synchronize! A study of 32 guitarists playing Sonata in G Major 60 different times in pairs showed a clear synchronization.

The tests had the subjects hooked up to electrodes to monitor brain activity and had them play different parts of the song, taking turns setting the tempo. This test showed “interpersonal coordinated behavior”, meaning their ability to play well together. All paired subjects showed synchronization of brain wave activity!
