Funeral services for Phyllis ‘P.J.’ Jeanette Dodson, 50 of Crane Hill will be Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Bethany Baptist Church in Crane Hill, AL with Rev. Johnny Freeman officiating with burial in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 10-11 a.m.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Dodson passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014 at her residence after a two year fight with cancer. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend to everyone that knew her.
She was born May 31, 1963 in New Port Beach, California to Clifford Phillip Ledbetter and Frances Jeanette Payne. She and her husband Jim were the owners of Alabama Financial Adjusters for 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Mac Ledbetter and sister, Trena Marlene Strickland.
Survivors include her husband, Jim; daughter, Jessica Pratt; son, Phillip ‘Drew’ Dodson, stepson, Brian Scott Dodson; father, Clifford Phillip Ledbetter; mother, Frances Payne; brothers, Clifford ‘Herbie’ Ledbetter (Louise), Larry Ledbetter; granddaughters, Leigha Banee Cantrell, Bridget Dodson; Grandson, Arron Blake Pratt;and a host of cousins and nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers will be nephews and friends.
