Phyllis Rose Phyllis Lipscomb Rose, lovingly known as Nana Rose to her grandchildren, passed away after a long and complex battle with health issues on May 16, 2025. Through it all, she remained fiercely determined and impossible to keep down.

Phyllis was born October 30, 1955 in Memphis. She was a graduate of Bartlett High School. Phyllis faced more than her fair share of challenges, but she held on with grit and fire, and for one reason above all: her grandchildren, Catherine and Andrew and her son Will. Catherine and Andrew were her heart, her purpose, and her daily motivation to keep fighting even when the odds were stacked against her. Being their Nana Rose gave her life meaning in ways that nothing else could.

She is now reunited with the love of her life, Walter, a bond she carried with her every step of the way. That reunion brings comfort to those she leaves behind, knowing she is at peace.

Phyllis is survived by her son William James (Laura), her grandchildren, Catherine (10) and Andrew (6), her parents, James and Nancy Lipscomb, who remained by her side throughout her journey. She also leaves behind her siblings, Jan and Greg, and a wide circle of family including cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM, Thursday, May 22, 2025, in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington, TN. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove (Sweet Bud) Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, 10 AM -2 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Pleasant Grove Cemetery Fund.
