Phyllis A. Dunwoody was born October 31, 1938 in Memphis, TN the daughter of the late Herbert C. and Bibian Lee Charles Simmons.
She was united in marriage to John E. Dunwoody on July 7, 1977. Mr. Dunwoody preceded her in death on March 1, 2010. She loved her family and grandchildren.
Mrs. Dunwoody departed this life on March 16, 2019 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 4 Months, 16 Days. She is survived by
a daughter, Patti Young; two sons, Ret. Mst. Sgt. Randall Alan Young, Gary Michael Young; 10 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren; two brothers, Creath L. Simmons of Adamsville, TN, Darral W. Simmons; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Dunwoody was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Escarre; a brother, Herbert Owen Simmons.
There will be a private entombment service in Memphis, Tennessee.
