Phillip Wiley Buckner Mr. Phillip Wiley Buckner age 92 of McMinnville, TN died Thursday, May 08, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his family and friends. He was born March 04, 1933 in Smithville, TN, was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, was a supervisor at Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC), and a member of Westwood Church of Christ. Mr. Buckner was preceded in death by his parents Aubrey A. Buckner and Effie Lee Williams Buckner, wife Shirley Faye Buckner, sister Louise Ashburn, brothers Joe Buckner, Poley Buckner, and Oley Buckner, and step daughter Lesa Gaye Tubb.

 

Survivors include his children Phillip Michael (Judy) Buckner, Paul Lymon (Nona) Buckner, and Sarah Beth (William) Sandlin, step children Jeffrey Wayne (Ann) Tubb and John Alfred (Kim) Tubb, sister Polly Ann (David) Smith, grandchildren Allyson (Travis) Driver, Nathan Buckner, Valerie (Steve) Tippett, and Emily (James) Pierce, great grandchildren Delainee Driver, Kendall Buckner, and Rowyn Buckner, step grandchildren John Ryan (Logan) Tubb, Dillon (Erica) Tubb, and Katie (Ryan) Cooper, step great grandchildren Henley Tubb, Hudson Tubb, Hazel Cooper, Dawson Phillip Tubb, Reid Tubb, and Ford Tubb.

 

Graveside service and interment are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday May 10, 2025 at Mt. View Cemetery. Ray Weddington will officiate. Military Grave Rites will be administered by V.F.W. Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
