Phillip (Phil) Ray Walker, 63, of Decatur, AL passed away on January 1, 2025. Visitation will be on Monday, January 6th from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. The Celebration of life service will begin at 2:30p.m at Roselawn Funeral Home with Wesley Woodard officiating. He will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery.
Phillip is survived by Phillip Ethan Walker, son, married to Caitlin Walker; his father, Ray Walker; his brothers, Keith Walker, married to Joy Walker and their children Magen (Andrew) Alexander and Morgan (Josh) Gaines and their grandchildren; and Craig Walker, married to Angela Walker, and their children Wesley Woodard (Ellie), Maddie, and Lilly Walker. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Jo Ann Walker.
Phillip “Phil” Walker was a passionate sports fan, especially dedicated to the Alabama Crimson Tide, and a man with a quick wit and humorous candor that never failed to brighten a room. His ability to find humor in any situation was one of his most endearing qualities, and his light-hearted nature made him a joy to be around.
Phil’s commitment to his work was unmatched; he was a dedicated and beloved employee at GE for 40 years, where his warm personality and keen sense of humor made him a cherished colleague and friend every night on third shift.
He was happiest when spending time with his son, Ethan, whether it was cheering him on at the ball fields or simply enjoying each other’s company. Phil also found peace and joy in the serene beauty of Panama City Beach, where countless memories were made with family and friends Phil’s humor, kindness, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His infectious smile and candid nature left an indelible
mark on everyone he encountered.
