Phillip N. Harris, age 63 of Empire passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019 at St. Vincent’s East. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial in Rice’s Chapel Cemetery. Bob Thomason will officiate. Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Preceding him in death was father, James N. “Pete” Harris.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Patton Harris of Empire; mother, Jettie Harris of Empire; son, Wesley Harris of China; daughter, April Light of Bremen; sister, Lonna French and her husband, Joe of Empire; niece, Kristi Cain and her husband, Chris of Jasper; stepsons, Stacy Golden and his wife, Monica of Moulton; Scott Golden of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Jaxon, Emilee, and Rendan Light, all of Bremen, Chris Golden and his wife, Megan of Hinesville, GA, Jacob Golden and his wife, MaKenzi of Albertville, Ashelyn Golden of Albertville, Evan Golden of Moulton, Andrew Beck of Oneonta, and Nicholas Golden of Oneonta; nephews, Hunter and Hayden Cain, both of Jasper; and a host of other family and friends.
