Graveside services for Mr. Phillip Lynch, age 67, of Goodwater will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 11:00 am at Oak Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Lynch passed away on April 24, 2026 at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham. He was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County, and graduated from Bibb Graves High School. Phillip served 9 years in the United States Army, had worked for several years with his family in the logging industry, then for several more years doing commercial and residential electrical work.
He is survived by two special grandchildren; Kyleigh Elliott and Alexander Platzek, nieces and nephews; Scott Mitchell, Renee’ Hurst, Kevin Lynch, Kristi Taylor, Beth Thornton, and Ashley Johnson, aunts; Betty Shockley and Ann Friday, cousins Mike Lynch and many others.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Ralph Eugene Lynch and Lois Christine Williamson Lynch, his son Alex Lynch, his sisters; Deborah L. Kemp and Teresa L. Haynes and his brothers; Douglas Lynch and Danny Lynch.
Active pallbearers will be Scott Mitchell, Kevin Lynch, Mike Lynch, Alexander Platzek, Antraum Williamson, and Brant Williamson.
Visitation will be held at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland on Tuesday between 8:00 and 10:00 AM.
