Phillip Izard, 61, passed away Monday, April 8, 2024, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. He was born December 18, 1962 to the late Phillip Harrison Izard Jr. and the late Joyce Reese McClanahan in Oxford. He worked at Weather’s Auto Supply for 26 years. Phillip enjoyed fishing, watching his Ole Miss Rebels, putting together puzzles, and caning chairs. He was active in the Lions Club and a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm on Friday April 12, 2024 at Trinity Baptist Church with Bro. Tommy Winders officiating. Visitation will be from 11am – 2 pm on Friday April 12, at Trinity Baptist Church.
Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Angie Izard of Saltillo; daughter, Mary Chandler Izard of Hattiesburg; brother, Robert (Rita) Izard of Brandon; sisters, Elizabeth (Jerry Grimes) Izard of Mooreville, and Dorothy Jane McClanahan of Oxford; lifetime best friend, Mark (Paula) Cooper of Tupelo; sister in law, Tangie (Tommy) Franks of Mantachie; brother in law, Terry (Sandy) Bruff of Ozark Community; sister in law, Debbie (Leon) McMillen of Ozark Community, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip Harrison Izard, Jr., and Joyce Izard McClanahan.
