Visitation will be Friday, April 30, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, AL. Funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m. with Dr. Bill Tittle officiating. Burial will follow in Walker Memory Gardens, Jasper, AL.
Mr. Battles is survived by his wife, Kim Bass; sons, Zach Battles and Michael Bass; daughters, Hollea (Joe) Cate, Starr Gibbs, Candice (Chris) Tittle and Nicole (Brad) Heck; honorary daughter, Sandy Isbell; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild on the way; brother, Hoyt Douglas Battles; sisters Linda (Billy Wayne) Patterson, Donna Lee (Joe Sutterly) and Jennifer Holcomb; and 12 nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Ray “Buddy” Battles; mother, Edith Mae Johnson Battles; infant brothers, Jeffery Lynn Battles and Billy Ray Battles, Jr. and brother Greg Battles; and sister, Lisa Battles.
