Phil Carter, 66 of Toney, passed away on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022, at his residence. Mr. Carter was born on June 11th, 1956, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Carlton Hugh Carter and Martha Benton Carter.
Mr. Carter is survived by his wife of 36 years, Suzy Carter; children Lindzy Carter Callaway (Blake), of Moulton, and Blake Carter, of Harvest; brothers Mike Carter (Pam), of Kissimmee, FL, and Don Carter (Betty), of Decatur, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services for Mr. Carter will be Friday, November 4th, 2022, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Dave Wood officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 1:00-2:00pm at the funeral home.
Phil loved his career in the airline industry and helping everyone he came in contact with. Phil especially loved spending time with his family, cooking, and making sure everyone was well fed and satisfied. Everyone who knew him, knew what an exceptional person he was.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in his honor to Hospice of North Alabama or the Alzheimer’s Association.
