Peter Linden Green, Sr., 87, of Huntsville passed away Monday at his residence. Peter was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Madison County for over 51 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during WWII and retired from the U.S. Army missile Command in 1987. Peter was a member of Faith Chapel. He was preceded in death by one infant son. Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years: Shirley Green; four daughters: Elizabeth Petty, Julie Cantrell, Becky Parker and Rachel Gentle; one son: Pete Green, Jr.; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Faith Chapel followed by a Memorial service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Brian D. Farley and Bro. Joel McGraw officiating. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Jan and Harold of Hospice Family Care for the loving care they provided. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Hospice Family Care or Faith Chapel.
