Mr Peter James Phillip, age 73, of Mentone Alabama, passed away at his residence, August 5, 2021. Peter was born March 4, 1948 to the late Peter Simon and Lillian(Vicha) Phillip.

He graduated from Trine University, Angola, Indiana, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and he worked in the Heating and Air Conditioning and Commercial Water Heater industries during his career. Peter was awarded a Patent in March 2000, for inventing a Combustion Burner for Water Heaters. He enjoyed playing the Banjo and other hobbies which included Pen and Ink drawing and Stain Glass.

He was pre deceased in death by a sister, Mary Jean Fetts and a brother, Joesph Phillip.

Survivors include his wife, of 37 years, Diana McCurdy Phillip.
Children, Kyle Phillip, Julie Holyoak and Alec Johnson.
Grandchildren, Abigail Yerke, Kendall, Mia and Vivian Phillip.
Sisters, Dorthy (Kelly) Riorden, Bernadette Mihills and Margaret (Carl) Wilm. Brothers, Bill(Terri), Jim(Sandy), and George (Rita) Phillip. A number of nieces and nephews survive.

Graveside services will be held 12 noon Saturday at Pine Grove Cemetery, County Road 116, Henagar, Alabama.
