Pete Turner Collins Jr., age 84, of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee passed away on January 20, 2018 at NHC Columbia.

Pete was a Maury County native, born to the late Pete and Susie Collins on January 12, 1934. He married the late Oella Collins, together they had three children. He was a hard working father and husband; he spent most of his days farming as a share cropper. As a hobby Pete enjoyed coon hunting. He had a kind heart, never mistreating anyone. He was a wonderful grandfather and great grandfather; his great grandchildren were his babies. He was loved and will be truly missed.

Pete is survived by his Children: Nancy Spires, Sarah (Jeff) Smithson and Randy Collins; Grandchildren: Sammy Spires, Gary Spires, Randel (Brittany) Spires, Clint Smithson, Sherry (Mike) Clark and Jonathon Redd; Great Grandchildren: Samuel Spires and Wesley Spires; Step-Great grandchildren: Alissa, Melina and Cherish Farnham; Sister Elizabeth Powers; Sister in law: Doris Grooms and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Wife: Oella and Siblings: Nette Bolton, Susie May Mosley, Annie May Brown, Estelle “Toad” Bolton, Jack Collins and Buddy Collins.

The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. A Service will follow at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Danny Glenn Grooms officiating.

Pallbearers are Sammy Spires, Randall Spires, Clint Smithson, Jonathan Redd, Larry Pierce and Jeff Smithson.
