Pernie Bee Adams Pelfrey, age 97 of Double Springs, entered into rest on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Burns Nursing and Rehab in Russellville, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on March 1, 1916. Pernie worked 20 years in the Winston County School lunchroom. She was a lover of sacred harp music and enjoyed singing.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 from 6-8pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where services will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at 11am. Ronald Gilbreath and Anthony Gilbreath will officiate. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Pelfrey is survived by her three sons, Lucian (Patsy) Pelfrey, Gary (Freda) Pelfrey, Dwight (Claudia) Pelfrey; three daughters, Edna Pace, Joan (Ronald) Gilbreath, Nancy (Wayne) Cordell; two brothers, Kermit Adams, Dawson (Edith) Adams; one sister, Emily Jones; 19 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Earl D. Pelfrey; son-in-law, Ray Pace; grandson, Danny Pace; parents, Jessie and Maude Adams; two brothers and two sisters.
