Percy Ray McIntyre – Obituary

Mr. Percy Ray McIntyre, 89, of Florence, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 at ECM Hospital. He was a member of New Hope Church of Christ; Lauderdale County Farmers Federation; and served as Director on Alabama State Farmers Federation Board.

 

Visitation will be Monday, November 6, 2017 from 12-2 p.m. at New Hope Church of Christ. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. at the church with Carl Seigenthaler officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Church of Christ Cemetery.

 

Mr. McIntyre was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Eula McIntyre; son, Philip McIntyre; sister, Cornelia Sims; and a brother, Edward Walton (Pokey) McIntyre.

 

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Gresham McIntyre; son, David McIntyre (Mary), sister-in-law, Daisy McIntyre; brother, Jerry McIntyre (Elaine), sisters, Martha Orrick, and Julia Ann Hazelrig; grandchildren, Nathan McIntyre (Nicole), Natalie McIntyre Aldridge (Thad), Matthew McIntyre (Mary), and Camron McIntyre (Allyson); great-grandchildren, Braedon Cameron Gresham McIntyre, Colin Philip Lawton McIntyre, and Raygen Glenanne McIntyre.

 

Active pallbearers will include: Lawrence Smith, Barry Jacobs, Richard Cox, Hal Gargis, Greg Grigsby, and Danny Jones.

 

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Mann, Directors of Lauderdale County Farmers Federation; and two special in-laws, Cecil and Agnes Gresham.
