Pensri “Al” Traywick, age 68, passed away on August 7, 2018.

Pensri was born in Phayao, Thailand and raised by Amporn Klairoong and Onkeal Chowneun. In 1971, Pensri married James Traywick and moved with him to the United States in support of his miliary career. Together they had 3 daughters: Alison Su-Lin, Denise Michelle and Jessica Renae.

Throughout her travels, stationed at various miliary bases thorough out the United States and the Pacific Rim, Al was very involved with the local Thai community. One of her passions was to host and organize Thai festivals and cultural events that would showcase and share her Thai heritage with the local community. Her vibrant personality and warm smile would brighten the festivities and make you feel at home.

Al was also an excellent home-chef and shared this culinary prowess with friends and loved one alike. Regardless of time of day whenever you came to visit, Al would present you with a vast array of delicious delicacies within minutes of arrival that would put the highest rated Thai restaurant out of business within hours and would send you home with enough left-overs to feed you for a week.

Al was warm-hearted with the sweetest smile, an infectious giggle, and a fashion sense that was always on trend. Her absence from this world will be deeply felt by all who knew her.

Al is survived by her ex-husband, James Traywick, daughters Alison Bunce (Greg), Denise Joseph (Brian) and Jessica Napier (Tommy). She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Alyssa Kawauchi, Matthew Joseph, TJ and Julissa Napier and by her sisters, Sunee Klairoong, Oy Loechel (John), Thu Klairoong, and brother, Sridate “Thuy” Klairoong. She was predeceased by her brother Nakorn Klairoong and sister Rugira “Thim” Klairoong.

Services for Pensri “Al” Traywick will be held on Sunday, August 12th, 2018 at 4 pm at Madison Chapel Funeral Home, Madison, Alabama, beginning with a traditional Buddhist ceremony. Visitation will precede the service from 2 pm to 4 pm.
