Peggy Wood Brown, 92, of Ripley passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Lauderdale Community Hospital. A visitation will be held starting at 12 PM Thursday at Asbury Methodist Church, where she was a member, with funeral services to follow at 2 PM. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery. Garner Funeral Home of Ripley has charge of the services.
Mrs. Brown was a retired seamstress at Lauderdale Garment. She was an avid gardener and was well known for all of her beautiful flowers.
The widow of Hugh Lewis Brown, she is survived by 2 daughters Carolyn Griggs of Ripley and Lesa Puckett of Halls, one grandchild John Brown Beasley (Kristen), two great-grandchildren Brecken Beasley and Ethan Beasley, and a great-great grandchild Emma Kate Beasley. She was preceded in death by two grandsons Josh Puckett and Steve Vandergriff.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be sent to Asbury Methodist Church or Asbury Cemetery.
