Mrs. Peggy Sue Kelley, age 83, of Union Grove, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Born in Taft, Tennessee, on October 4, 1942, Peggy was a beloved daughter of Perry Leon “Lee” Luna and Susan Elizabeth Benson Luna. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 53 years, Dalphas George Kelley, Sr. Peggy was a graduate of S.R. Butler High School and a dedicated member of Brindlee Mountain Baptist Church.
Peggy cherished her church and the fellowship it provided. In her earlier years, she enjoyed traveling and camping with family and friends. She was passionate about fishing, cooking, and crafting, all of which she joyed throughout her life.
Peggy is survived by her son, Dalphas G. “Buddy” Kelley, Jr. (Sharee); daughter, Sharon Vaughn (Burchell); grandchildren, Daniel Anderson, Amelia Grebe, Eric Grebe (Kayla), Travis Grebe, and Gracie Kelley (Levi); great-grandchildren, Isabella Grebe, Brookelyn Grebe, Katelyn Grebe, and Noah Kelley; and her sister, Lois Askins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalphas Kelley, Sr.; mother, Susan Benson Luna; father, Perry Leon “Lee” Luna; three sisters; and two brothers.
Services for Peggy will be held Friday, February 13, 2026, at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Brother Robby Boyd will officiate. Serving as pallbearers and escorting Peggy to her final resting place in Arab Memorial Cemetery will be Ron Putlovis, Steve Mawhirter, Steven Mawhirter, Kelvin Kelley, Jimmy Kelley, and Brad Johnson. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family encourages donations to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice.
