Peggy Ruth Bell Arnold, 86, from Madison, AL, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021.

She was born in Rainsville, AL to Cecil and Lynette Bell. She enjoyed 52 years of marriage to husband, Ellis C. Arnold, Jr, who all preceded her in death.

She is survived by two children and their families- son, Randy Arnold of Saltillo, MS (and wife, Debbie), his three children, Carey Valderrama (and her husband, Ron, and two children, Giavanna and Vincent), and Cody Arnold (and wife, Nicole, and four children, Annalise, Reid, Adelynn, and Ayla), and Lana Bramlett (and husband, Nick, and two children, Ava and Clayton), and daughter, Leigh Christian of Madison, AL (and husband, Don and daughter, Katy Gonterman Lorch and her child, Conley). She is also survived by two sisters, Patsy Congleton of Sheffield, Al and Sandy Crabb (husband Phil) from Harvest, AL; and a close friend – like a sister, Gladys Foster.

She was a graduate of Sheffield High School in Sheffield, AL. She worked numerous years in medical transcription for Luka Hospital in Luka, MS and Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, AL. Her legacy included sending cards for every occasion, and she has sent them for years. Her passions included her family and friends, but primarily her love of God and her church, Wall Highway Baptist Church in Madison, AL, where she had been a member for over 50 years.

A graveside service for family will take place Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Huntsville Memory Gardens, 6810 University Dr. Huntsville, AL. Berryhill Funeral Home will oversee arrangements. Pastor Dr. Allen Hayes, and Pastors Michael and Suzanne Katschke will serve as the officiants. Luke Tolar will provide music.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations on her behalf to Wall Highway Baptist Church, 6597 Wall Triana Hwy. Madison, AL 35758.

She was loved by many because of her sweet, Godly ways; so much so that many called her Granny.
