Peggy Mason Mahoney passed away on December 22, 2022, at age 96. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Mason and Annie Pearl Campbell; sister, Rachel Conrad; husband, of 25 years, Edward Noel Michael; husband, of 25 years, Gene Thomas Mahoney; and son, Edward Noel Michael, Jr. She is survived by her sons, James Mason Michael and his wife, Marcia Michael, and Randal Michael; grandchildren, Mallory Hamilton (Richard Hamilton); Andy Oblander (Deanna Norris); Kristin Oblander (William Sengstacken), and Anica Williams (Chad Williams); and ten great-grandchildren.
Peggy resided in Huntsville most of her life. She was employed by the US Army Missile Command until her retirement. She and husband Gene were longtime members of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was active in the United Methodist Women (UMW) and lived a life of generosity toward others.
Peggy Mahoney lived life to the fullest, traveling abroad, round dancing with friends, and taking care of her family. She was a pillar of strength for her family through the decades and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 28, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, Huntsville Alabama, with funeral service immediately following.
