Peggy Lynn Lamon – Obituary

Funeral service for Peggy Lynn Lamon, 72, will be Monday, October 21, 2013, at noon at Parkway Funeral Home with Patrick Cooley and Dallas Culver officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lamon died on Friday, October 18, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born to the late Louis and Jewel Jackson in Lawrence County Alabama on June 23, 1941. She loved to cook, read, and sing in church choir. She was a cancer survivor and participated in Camp Blue Bird. She was a homemaker and mother. She loved to cross stitch and loved to travel and camp with her husband. She loved her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Lane Jackson; one grandson, Zack Hillis.

She is survived by her husband, Eual Lamon; two sons, Jack (Lisa) Lamon and Tolly Lamon; her daughter, Beth (Brian) Ross; grandchildren, Betsy (Todd) Yarbrough, Will Lamon and Dakota Lamon.

Pallbearers will be Will Lamon, Dakota Lamon, Tim Lamon, David Lamon, Earl Leonard, and Gordy Burden.

Memorial gifts may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or Camp Blue Bird.
