Peggy Lyell, 95, of Ripley passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at her residence. Visitation will begin at 11 AM Friday at Grace Baptist Church, where she was a member, with funeral services to follow at 1 PM. Interment will be in Grace Cemetery. Garner Funeral Home has charge of the services.
Mrs. Lyell was born June 7, 1929 in Halls to William Richard and Annie Jane Powell.
She was a retired employee of Marvin Windows.
The widow of Joseph L. Cook and Jim Lyell, she is survived by two daughters Judy Cook Koonce of Perryville, MO and Barbara (Pat) Crowder of Ripley; a daughter-in-law Nancy Cook; a son William Cook (Denise) of Tucson, AZ; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son Phillip Cook.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials go to Grace Baptist Church.
