Services for Peggy Lee Crossnoe Parks, age 71, will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Salem Baptist Church with Pastor Joel Pigg officiating. Interment will be in the Salem Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 at Salem Baptist Church from 5 pm to 8 pm.
Mrs. Parks passed away at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN after a short illness.
Mrs. Parks grew up in the Laneview community between Trenton and Bradford. She attended Bradford School, graduating in 1967 then attained a degree in history from UT Martin. Her entire working career was at the TN Department of Human Services from which she retired after 38 years of service. She faithfully attended Salem Baptist Church, Trenton, TN since early childhood.
Mrs. Parks was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Lillian (Hickman) Crossnoe; a daughter Emily Diane Gordon, all of Trenton, TN; two sisters Carol Elaine Adams Moore of Trenton, TN and Margie Wingo of Plano, TX.
Mrs. Parks is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years Billy Gene “Red” Parks; one grandchild Caleb Andrew Gordon; two sisters, Brenda Burress and husband Charlie, and Connie Clanton and husband Richard, all of Trenton, TN; six nieces and nephews, Wayne Adams and wife Michelle, Justin Wingo, Carol Burke and husband Michael, Kevin Burress, and Guy Richard Clanton II; and two aunts Barbara Taylor of Bradford, TN and Linda Carlton of Greenfield, TN.
