Peggy Joyce Sutherland Defoor, age 81, of Haleyville, Alabama passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Hendrix Health and Rehab. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
Visitation is Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from 12 noon – 2:00 p.m. at New Prospect Baptist Church with funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the church. Dr. Ron Horton officiating the services, with burial in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Deborah Wallace, Mark Defoor, Dennis Defoor, Phillip Defoor, Douglas Defoor, Timothy Defoor, Angela Sledge; Siblings, Christene Knight, Earl Sutherland, Wanda Barker and Gurvis Sutherland; 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, M.L. Defoor and granddaughter, Laura Wallace; siblings, Curtis Sutherland, Thomas Sutherland, Buice Sutherland & Aubrey Sutherland.
