Peggy Joyce Garrett, 76, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Magnolia Health in New Albany. She was born October 14, 1948, to Fred and Robbie Gregory. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Ecru High School and MSU. She worked as an educator for over 40 years. She loved spending time with her family, doing crafts and scrapbooking.
Services will be at 12:00 P.M. Friday, February 14, 2025, at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc. Burial will be in Ecru Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Peggy was survived by her son, Michael Scott Garrett; her daughter, Shan Henderson (Brad); her daughter-in-law, Angie Garrett; her grandchildren, Jake Garrett (Leslie), Maggie Wilkinson (Zane), and McKenzie Walter (John); and her great-grandchildren, Raney Garrett and Maverick Wilkinson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Ray Garrett; her parents; and her brother, Danny Gregory.
Pallbearers will be Michael Scott Garrett, Jacob Garrett, Randy Horton, Brad Henderson, Russell Thomas, and John David Gregory.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Friday, February 14, 2025, at the funeral home.
