Peggy Joe Smith, age 77, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Ruby Isbell, and her daughter, Wendy Michelle Smith.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Garry Smith; daughter, Sandy Rodriguez; grandson, James Rodriguez; granddaughter, Madelyn Rodriguez; brother, Larry Isbell (Deborah); sister, Darlene Powell (Rodger); five nieces; one nephew; two great-nieces, and five great-nephews.
She was a loving wife, mother, nanny, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend; she will be missed tremendously by all who loved her. Peggy was a member of Westlawn Baptist Church, where she had a host of brothers and sisters in Christ.
Visitation for Peggy will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home & Memory Gardens, 698 Winchester Rd NE, Huntsville, Alabama 35811. Immediately following the visitation, a celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel, 698 Winchester Rd NE, Huntsville, Alabama 35811. Peggy will be laid to rest in Valhalla Memory Gardens, Huntsville, AL.
