Peggy is survived by her two daughters, Darcia Witherspoon and Tricia Ellison, and her son-in-law, Scotty Ellison; her sister and brother; several nieces and nephews; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward her love and legacy.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, H.L. “Bud” Witherspoon; her parents; a sister; a brother; and a niece.

A Celebration of Live will be held on May 23, 2026 at 2pm at the American Legion in Greenbrier, Tennessee.
