Peggy Jean Davis, age 82, Hackleburg, Alabama passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Lamar County Alabama on Thursday, June 29, 1933 to Albert and Flora Rushing. Visitation will be Friday, January 29, 2016, 11-1 p.m. at Marion County Funeral Home. The service will follow at 1 P.M. in the Chapel, with burial in Forest Crest Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama. Bro. Claude Hand and Bro. Allan Bailey officiating. She was preceded in death by his husband, James J. Davis; parents, Albert and Flora Rushing; brother, Bobby Rushing. She leaves to cherish her memory, son Jerry Davis (wife, Claudette), daughter, Beverly Sharpe (husband, Brad) Montgomery AL.; grandchildren, Derek Decuir (Alisha), Corbette Davis (Erin), Jeri Groce (Hunter), Erin Sharpe; great-grandchildren, Davis Groce, Miller Groce, Enjoli Ferguson, Dylan Decuir; and host of nieces, nephews and friends. Marion County Funeral Home assisted the family.
