Peggy Holloway, 81, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born on December 13, 1943 to John Robert and Minnie Mae Payne. She married H. Wayne Holloway when they were both 17 years old and had many happy years together. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, Grammy, sister and friend to all who knew her. She was a long-time active member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She was owner of Holloway’s Sporting Goods store until she retired. She made many friends there. She loved her family. Her favorite hobby was fishing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother- Roy Scott Payne.
Survivors include:
Sons- Robby Holloway (Belynda) and Richie Holloway
Grandson- Alec Holloway (Ashley)
Brother- Johnny Payne (Pat)
Sisters- Jan Fields (Don) and Sandra Sapp (Paul)
Many nephews and nieces
Pallbearers will be family.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Tom Campbell officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
