Peggy Green Burroughs, 73, of Rogersville died Tuesday, June 28th 2016 at her residence.
She was a member of Beacon Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 30th from 6 – 8 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday at 10 a.m. in the chapel with Jerry Marlow officiating. Burial will follow in Rogersville Funeral Home Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Smith, Colby Marks, Brandon Fontenot, Cole Parker, Clayton Clay and Jeremy Workman.
Mrs. Burroughs was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Junior Burroughs; father, Douglas Green; step father, Estus Marlar; mother, Lottie Marlar; sisters, Paula Faye Green and Laura “PeeWee” Harbin; brothers, Billy Joe Carter and Jerry Marlar. She is survived by her children, Christopher (Dawn) Burroughs, Teresa (Gary) Smith and Karen (Madison) Marks; grandchildren, Paul (Courtney) Smith, Bridget (Brandon) Fontenot, Alycia Hendon, Stephanie Burroughs, Toshia (Cole) Parker, Tisha Marks, Colby Marks, Clayton and Tyler Clay; 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and special dog, Lucy.
“Nanny Goat” will be greatly missed by all.
