Peggy Gail Colbert, 87, of Toney, Alabama passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
Mrs. Colbert lived in the Toney community all her life where she was a member of Taft Full Gospel church. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, cooking and visiting the Elkwood Grocery store to catch up with friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, W. Hughes and Ellen Hames Hughes, her husband of 67 years, Rabon Colbert, 10 brothers and sisters, as well as two daughters, Beverly Campbell and Kimberly Colbert.
She is survived by one brother, Bobby Hughes, four grandchildren: April Jackson, Amanda Jackson, Jessica (Chris) Yarbrough, and Garrick (Felicia) Faulk, eight great grandchildren: Savannah, Brittany, Danielle, Destinee, Harper, Wyatt, Aubree, and Wade, as well as one great great grandchild, Juleeia.
A Graveside Service will be held for Mrs. Colbert on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Fayetteville, Tennessee with service time beginning at 1:00 PM. Bro. CW Turner will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
