Peggy Atkinson, age 73, of Vernon, AL, passed away at her residence in Vernon, AL on Friday, January 27, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Lamar Memory Gardens in Vernon, AL. Bro. Arnold Sheets to officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, January 29, 2023 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.

Peggy was born on August 24, 1949 to the late W.C. Rayburn and the late Rena Westbrook Rayburn. She attended high school in Blytheville, Arkansas and later received her Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from BSCC. Peggy enjoyed making quilts, doing yard work, camping, and spending time with her grandbabies. She was a member of Free Will Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Sulligent, AL.
