Peggy Ann SmithPeggy Ann Smith, age 72 of Decherd, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020 at Southern Tennessee Regional Medical Center. A native of Franklin County, she was born on January 24, 1948 to the late Claude and Coreen (Holliday) Farris. She was the owner and operator of Peggy’s Day Care for over twenty-five years. Peggy enjoyed watching FOX news channel…and no one was allowed to change the channel. But most of all, she cherished the time spent with her loving family. In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Mack Garrison; and siblings, Mary Ruth Stewart, Neil Harper, Joe Farris, and Donnie Farris. She is survived by her loving children, Greg (Denise) Garrison of Winchester, Kimberly (Tommy) Philpot of Decherd, Michael Garrison of Decherd, and Deana (Jansen) Ingle of Winchester; grandchildren, Courtney (Bradley) Gilliam of Huntland, Austin Garrison, Baily Garrison, Cole Stewart, Cason Stewart, and Ethan Garrison, all of Winchester; siblings, Louise Garrison of Winchester, Pat (Dennis) Engle of Wimpunka, Alabama, Barbara Thompson of Winchester, Marie (Paul) Cole of Georgia, Ann McGowan of Winchester, Mack (Marilyn) Farris of Decherd, Howard (Ola Mae) Farris of Decherd, and Wayne Farris of McMinnville; and many nieces and nephews. Private Services are planned with burial at Mt. Garner Cemetery.
