LACEY’S SPRING-The Alabama Law Enforcement AGency reports a single-vehicle accident invoving a pedestrian has taken the life of one person in Morgan County:
“A single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 5:23 p.m. Friday, August 16, has claimed the life of a Union Grove woman.
The pedestrian, Megan S. Persiani, 30, was walking along side the roadway when she was struck by a 2017 Chrysler 300 driven by Jacob A. Muhlhauser, 32, of Arab. Persiani was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene. Muhlhauser was also injured and transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred on U.S. 231 near Staid Road, approximately one mile south of Lacey’s Spring, in Morgan County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
