Pedestrian Dies In Dekalb County After Being Struck By Auto

DEKALB COUNTY-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident involving a pedestrian  has taken place in Dekalb County:

“A single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 3:40 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, has claimed the life of an Ider man.

The pedestrian, Randy K. Taylor, 44, was fatally injured when he was struck by the 2011 Mini Cooper driven by an 18-year-old. Taylor was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Alabama 75 near Dekalb County 789, approximately two miles north of Ider, in Dekalb County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
