Pedestrain Struck And Killed By Train In Sheffield

SHEFFIELD-The Sheffield Police Department issued a statement concerning the death of a man who had been hit by a train:

“The Sheffield Police Department is currently investigating an accident involving a train hitting a pedestrian at the intersection of North Montgomery Avenue and 1st Street.

All we know at this time is a white male, 43 years of age. He was transported to NAMC Hospital in Florence where he succumbed to his injuries at 1:37 PM.

The accident is currently being investigated by Sheffield Police Department at this time. We will have further information when in comes available.”
