Mrs. Pearleen M. AllenMrs. Pearleen Manning Allen, age 83 of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Rosewood Manor.

Pearleen was born in Jackson County on February 11, 1940 to Cecil & Rena Bea Manning. After working with her husband, Mack, for many years she took a job with Nonprofit Hospice Care in Scottsboro. In 1993, Pearleen joined the staff of the Jackson County Revenue Commissioner and worked there until her retirement in 2005. Pearleen was a member of the New Hope Methodist Church of Scottsboro.

Mrs. Allen is survived by her children, Tim Allen (Arlene) and Mike Allen; grandchildren, Nathan Allen, Derek Covington (Chase), David Covington (Jessica), and Mia Allen; great grandchildren, Bentley Allen, Keyton Allen, and Jackson Covington; and siblings, Stan Manning (Marilyn) and Martha Gentry (Owen). She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Allen; daughter, Lisa Allen; grandsons, Paul Allen and Zachary Allen; siblings, Elton Manning, Jean Shelton, Emmett Manning, Jack Manning, and Linda Carter; and her parents, Cecil & Rena B. Manning.

Visitation will on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Scottsboro Funeral Home from 12-3 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the Scottsboro Funeral Home chapel at 3 p.m. Rev. Donna King will officiate. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
