Pauline BedfordPauline Malone Bedford, age 93, was called home to Jesus on Saturday, September 30, 2023. She was born to James and Mittie Jane Malone in Tupelo, Mississippi, in 1929.

Pauline loved gardening and quilting. She was a lifelong resident of Tupelo except for the last two years of her life when she lived in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was a faithful member of Open Door Baptist Church in Tupelo for many years.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyle W. Bedford; son, Jimmy C. Bedford; sisters, Ruth Stanford, Cletus Hawn, Velma Pate, and Ruby Hawn; and one brother, William Malone.

She is survived by her sister, Betty Whittlesey (L J) of Riverside, California; daughter, Linda Lundy (Tom) of Chattanooga; daughter-in-law, Ellie Bedford (Jimmy) of Tupelo; grandchildren, Amanda Mutz (Tom) of Atlanta, Georgia, and Nathan Bedford of Tupelo; step-granddaughter, Karen Lundy Harvey of Chattanooga; and great-grandchildren, Ava Mutz, and Owen Mutz.

Pauline’s family will receive friends at 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Pegues, Tupelo.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. at Beech Springs Cemetery, Beech Springs Rd, Saltillo, MS 38866.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Pauline’s memory to the Open Door Baptist Church at 746 Post St, Tupelo, MS 38804.
