Pauline Boutwell – Obituary

Mrs. Pauline Boutwell was called home to be with her Lord on February 19, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 2:00PM at Hart’s Mortuary at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210. Reverend Paul Dziadul will be officiating with burial following at Evergreen Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Pauline was born June 12, 1917, in Bibb County, Georgia, lived in Macon, Georgia, most of her adult life and spent the last eleven years with her daughter, Frieda Solomon and her husband, Jim, in Huntsville, Alabama.

She was a long-time member of Glenwood Hills Baptist Church in Macon and a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church in Huntsville for eleven years. She was very supportive of mission work. Her first job was working as a secretary for Hart’s Mortuary when she was 17 years old. She was a member of Macon Chapter #345 Eastern Star Chapter for fifty years. She was also a member of XYZ Senior Group and Golden Agers.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Curtis Boutwell and her daughter Deanne Doles and Deanne’s husband Walt. She is survived by her daughter, Frieda Solomon (Jim); grandchildren, Yvonne Lee (Felton) of Byron, Debra Ballard (Alan) of Macon, Richard Doles (Linda) of Fredericksburg, VA, Johnny Doles (Lisa) of Macon, Tracie Hermann (Derek) of New Market, AL, Laura Rait (Bert) of Newport News, VA and and numerous great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren.

Pauline was an encourager and a blessing to all who knew her and will be missed deeply by her family and friends.

Hart’s Mortuary at the Cupola has charge of arrangements.
Madison Chapel Funeral Home assisted the family with local arrangements.
