Paulette Taylor Downey, age 69, of Beaverton, AL, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024 at NMMC in Tupelo, MS. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Olive Hill Cemetery in Beaverton, AL. Bro. David Crowe and Minister Todd Clippard to officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.
Paulette was born on September 30, 1955 in Guin, AL to the late Jonnie Curtis Taylor and the late Pauline Dill Taylor. She was a graduate of Sulligent High School. Paulette really enjoyed writing poetry and short stories. She loved her children and grandchildren and cherished spending time with them making memories. Her loving heart and kind spirit will always be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a Son; Jerromy (Jennifer) Downey of Hamilton, AL, a Daughter; Mindy (Jason) Young of Beaverton, AL, 6 Grandchildren; Aaliyah, Paytyn, Jett, Taygyn, Ryker Myles, 2 Brothers; Larry (Gail) Taylor, Greenwood Springs, MS and Lynn (Debra) Taylor, Bankston, AL Sister; Debbie (Jacky) Haley, Hubbertville, AL, Sister-in-Law; Delinda Taylor, Hamilton, AL and her beloved best friend who was like her sister: Linda Dodd, Carbon Hill, AL
She is preceded in death by her Father; Curtis Taylor, Mother; Pauline Taylor, Brother; Ira Joe Taylor.
