Paula Allen Thomason, age 71, of Greenbrier, passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 5, 2021 at 11:30am in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Brother Harold Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Springhill Cemetery in Madison with Paul Thompson, Allen Thompson, Bubba Anderson, Corey Thompson, Mitch Pope and Gary Pope serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 4-8pm and again on Friday from 9am until the hour of service at 11:30am.
Ms. Thomason was born February 22, 1949 in Nashville to the late Vernon and Doris jean Simpson Allen. She was a nurse at General Hospital, she loved sewing, playing bingo, the Hallmark Channel, playing Candy Crush and coloring on her ipad.
In addition to her parents Ms. Thomason is preceded in death by her sister, Linda Thompson. She is survived by her son, Greg (Joshlyn) Thomason of Greenbrier; daughter, Suzanne (Lee) King of Cedar Hill; siblings, Tommy (Frances) Allen, JoAnn (Harold) Miller and Lorrie (Gary) Pope; uncle, Paul Simpson; grandchildren, Katie Walker, Forrest Thomason and Lyla Thomason; and great-grandson, Hunter Anderson. Ms. Thomason is also survived by her beloved dog, “Sissy”.
