Paul Vernion Sansom Jr, age 66 of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. He was born in Chicago Heights, Illinois, on December 16,1957, to the late Paul and Georgia Mae (Partin) Sansom Jr. Paul served his country in the United States Navy. He had been employed in the construction industry, which was his lifelong occupation. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and working on cars. But most of all, Paul enjoyed being with his family and cherished the time spent with them. A beloved father and grandfather, he will be remembered for his honest and loving nature. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Billy Henley and Wallace Sweeton. Paul is survived by his son, Paul Morton Sansom; siblings, Jane Henley, Theresa Cremeans, Wade (Vicki) Sansom, Dennis (Darlene) Sansom, and Melissa Sweeton; grandchildren, Kingsley Sansom, Konner Sansom, and Keegan Sansom; and special friend, Faye Klutz. Visitation will be from 11-4pm on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
