Ona Myriam Brock Guin realized the promises of her faith and met her Savior on Wednesday morning, May 29, 2024, from the Page Green House at United Methodist Services after a period of declining health. She was 90. Born in the Eggville area on January 17, 1934, into pioneer Lee County families, her parents were the late Norvin Brock and Irene Marcy Brock. She was the valedictorian of her Mooreville High School class. She married Herbert Odell “Pop” Guin in May of l952, a marriage of 66 years until his death on Feb. 22, 2018. To this union was born their only child, Debra “Deb” Guin Roebuck, who died May 14, 2023. She was a longtime member of the Gloster St. Church of Christ in Tupelo. She worked several years as a secretary at Mid-South Packers and later joined her husband Herb’s business, Lee County Foam, where she was secretary/bookkeeper. A strong woman with a warm personality and genuine heartfelt love for all, she devoted her life to serving her God and her family. MeeMom especially loved her grands and great-grands.

A service will be held at 11 AM Thursday in the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Minister Chad Ramsey officiating. Private burial will take place at Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10 AM Thursday until service time. For those unable to attend, the service may be viewed at www.hollandfuneraldirectors. com/live-streaming at 11 AM.

Mrs. Guin is survived by her son-in-law of 40 years, Danny Roebuck of Furrs; grandchildren, Ben Bass of Alaska, Clay Roebuck and Heather Roebuck of Pontotoc/Furrs, and Corey Roebuck (Tori) of Ocean Springs; three great-grandchildren, Brady Bass, Will Roebuck, and Riley Roebuck; her nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended Brock and Marcy families, and her Page Green House family.
