Paul Ray Whitehead, age 66, of Boaz, Alabama, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 1, 1958, to the late Rayford and Virginia Whitehead. Paul was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His kind heart and unwavering love for his family will forever be remembered by all who knew him.
Paul was preceded in death by his beloved sisters Marie Henderson, Ramonia (Paul) Holcomb, Tammy Pendergrass, and Margaret (Larry) May. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Pauline Whitehead; his children, Brandon (Abigail) Whitehead and Hannah (Blake) Bennefield; and his cherished grandchildren, Adalynn and Karson Bennefield, and Sophie Whitehead. Paul is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, as well as his aunt and uncles.
A family man through and through, Paul spent his life devoted to his children and grandchildren, always putting them first and filling their lives with love. He was known for his gentle spirit, kindness, trustworthiness, and unwavering faith. Paul loved spending time outdoors, and his presence in the lives of those who knew him was a true blessing.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Shepherds Cove Hospice in care of Paul Whitehead.
A memorial service will be held at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM.
Paul’s family finds comfort in the words of Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
Paul will be dearly missed, but his legacy of love and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
