Paul Owen Nettles passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026, at Shepherd’s Cove surrounded by loved ones. Born on November 13, 1956, in DeLand, Florida, to Owen and Connie Nettles. He grew up in Orange City, Florida, where he loved to hunt, fish, and raise hunting beagles. He had a very adventurous early life and loved being outdoors. He had lots of wild stories that he told his children, maybe more than once or twice. He moved to Albertville, Alabama, in 1997, where he worked mostly in pest control sales. He also enjoyed playing guitar, classic country, and bluegrass music, taking drives to look at deer, never missed watching a NASCAR race or Braves baseball game, and loved to discuss all of the things he was passionate about with his friends and family. He is survived by his daughter Jamie Nettles, his son Greg (Anna) Nettles, his sister Nancy Martin, his nieces, his grandchildren, and a boatload of cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents Owen Nettles and Connie Nettles and his sister Barbara Maly.
