Paul Nichols, 74, of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, passed away on May 14, 2024, at Countryside Health and Rehab. He was born on December 15, 1949, in Enterprise, Tennessee, to the late George and Rachel Nichols.

Paul was a man of remarkable ambition and unparalleled work ethic. He carved out a successful path as the owner of Nichols Trucking and Backhoe. Known for his relentless drive and determination, he never quite grasped the concept of taking a day off, finding joy in providing for his family through his hard work.

His personality was as straightforward as his approach to life. Paul was outspoken, possessing a dry sense of humor that left a lasting impression on those around him. He lived life on his own terms and loved deeply, especially when it came to his family.

Paul is survived by his children, Scottie Nichols (Darlene) and Jodi Stancil (Jon); grandchildren, Austin Kincaid, John Patrick Stancil (Beonka), and Addison Stancil; stepchildren, Daniel Hodge (Jessy) and Christopher Hodge (Stephanie); stepgrandchildren, Cailyn Hodge, Gabby Hodge, Madison Hodge, Owen Hodge, Colby Hodge, and Colton Hodge; great-grandchildren, Abel, Aiden, Cainan, and Savana; and siblings, Gail Yocum, Jeanne Tomlin, Tammy Walker, Connie Vandygriff, and Kay Humphries; and wife: Tammy Nichols.

He is preceded in death by his parents: George and Rachel, granddaughter Emily Stancil, brothers Wayne and Robbie Nichols, mother of his children Nancy Springer, and second wife Tracy Nichols.

The visitation for Paul will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. A service for Paul will be Friday, May 17, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee with David Kersey officiating, Paul will be laid to rest at Arlington Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee.
